I walk and cycle
My route to "visual artist", began in the theatre at Southend on Sea and was also inspired by visiting ancient sacred sites, whilst at art school, I weaved it all into my now creative story.
I am a Mavarick
Walking, cycling became a wandering hunt looking for my place as an artist in nature my work formed by a derive' of situations and out of a need to record my field trip locations, I created land maps.
Conceptually travel is experience, where I learned shamanic land connection a mind-body-spirit technique. based on the Gutai art movement. The spiritual power in the landscape shape's my work
"I consider that creativity is sacred".
therefore Art is an anthropological construct.
Drawing is calculation, painting experimentation, photography is documentation, video becomes storytelling, and overall I consider this Illustration.
In London, I studied at The Eagles Wing Shamanic school for practitioners.
In Mexico, I studied with a shaman in the Desert at St Lewis Potosi.
I was sent out into the desert alone that changed me! now I can put on my Shaman Mask and dance to a new rhythm
In South America, I traveled to a Mountain Cloud Forest where the light started to infuse into a blessing.
My aim is to deepen research residencies where I can develop an etheric and anthropic Shamanic land art technique with Praetorial art form inspired by Neo-Expressionists.
